Quack Quack!! The day you were born
My ducklings,
April 4th 2016 is and will always be the most special day in our lives. Our ducklings arrived. Shrihaan came out crying as expected and Ivi yes you mister came with his tongue out...oohhh how dad regrets not having a camera that time. It was a beautiful day.
Anecdote
So we all know what a cry baby Shri was. Your dad has a saying " poot ke pair paalne main dikh jaatein hai" meaning you can see what a kid will be like when he grows up right from the time he is born. Shri proved this true. The first night nurse got him into our room he cried so much that we had to plead the nurse to take him to the nursery so that we could at least sleep for a few hours.
Papa version : This day and time was pre- decided, meaning your arrival in this world was decided by pandit ( shastriji from Mumbai). Yes you can laugh it out now but that's how the world used to be back then. I remember the hospital called it "Mahurat caesarian" and they charged us 20% extra (lol?)on entire OT expense.
To show my happiness to the world , I got a t-shirt made for this day, depicting your arrival and I plan to wear it again on your 18th birthday ( God willing if it survives).
This was the day I saw you for the first time , I saw you both even before your mom saw you . This was the day I held you both in my arms , tiny and soft as a softtoy but more delicate and lovely then anything in this world. Dead scared I was since for quite sometime we did not know if you were both doing good.
When you both finally arrived in the room in the late afternoon , Shri was sleepy but( as always ) and Ivi had his tongue out ( As always). Mommy name you (in her semi consious and painful state .... tomato and strawberry (whose who?) . She was very sad that after 9 months of hardships , you both came out looking like your daddy ( you can thank me anytime for your good looks ).
